I accept documents via internet or postal mail. I generally work with Word files. You will received your proofread and edited document either electronically or on a CD. You will also receive the tracked document showing changes, corrections, and comments. If you send a hard paper copy, you will receive the hard copy back with corrections and comments in the margins

.

 

Editing and proofreading rates:

 

Editing and proofreading is charged by the page. The average count per page is 250 words. For documents 10 pages or less, turnaround time is 5 business days. Documents 10-500 pages will have a turnaround of 10-15 business days. For rush jobs, there will be an additional charge.

 

 

If your document is a PDF file, it will take much longer and cost more; the preferred format is Word (.doc, .docx). If you send a hard copy, there will be an additional fee for return postage on the edited document.

 

 

Basic Proofreading - proofing for errors, punctuation, grammar: $3 per page

Expanded Proofreading - proofing for errors, punctuation, grammar, editing for clear writing, redundancies, story line, fluidity: $4 per page

Heavy Editing and ReWriting - This service is for very aggressive rewriting and editing: $10 per page
